Bluetooth Issues

Hey guys, I just took a wireless card that had bluetooth from my old computer and put it into my new one which didn't have bluetooth. The cards are the same speed grade, they just have different manuacturers. The one with bluetooth is Atheros and the other one is Realtek. The wireless works fine after I installed the new card, but the bluetooth is not working. It detects that the system has bluetooth capabilities, but it can't actually find any bluetooth devices nor can my phone find the it. Does anyone know what's going on here? Could this just be a compatibility issue? Any help would be awesome. Thanks a lot guys!
