I have been saving to get a new build for about a year and a half now and since the release of the new gtx 960 I have fallen in love with the ssc by EVGA. I have already configured a build, I just want some helpful criticism or feedback. For some backup information, I need this system for general use, gaming and "casual video editing". If you insist on designing an entirely new build then I will need all of the parts I have used in this my link (http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/spstRB) obviously you can use different parts but just the same types of parts. Thanks for you help.

Only gripe i have is that the PSU isn't at least rated Bronze. Other than that, it's alright.

Looks alright. I would agree with @Fulgrim with the psu. But also, I would wait for the 370x to come out instead of the 960.

Good luck with your build!

That... I don't feel the 960 is the best value (or wait for the 960Ti).

Planning on trying StarCitizen (Highly recommended)? STAR-NR5P-CJFR is my referal link

Whats the diff. between 80+ and 80+ bronze?

Better power efficiency.

From Wikipedia -

"The efficiency of a computer power supply is its output power divided by its input power; the remaining input power is converted into heat. For instance, a 600-watt power supply with 60% efficiency running at full load would draw 1000 W from the mains and would therefore waste 400 W as heat. On the other hand, a 600-watt power supply with 80% efficiency running at full load would draw 750 W from the mains and would therefore waste only 150 W as heat.

For a given power supply, efficiency varies depending on how much power is being delivered. Supplies are typically most efficient at between half and three quarters load, much less efficient at low load, and somewhat less efficient at maximum load. Older ATX power supplies were typically 60% to 75% efficient. To qualify for 80 Plus, a power supply must achieve at least 80% efficiency at three specified loads (20%, 50% and 100% of maximum rated power). However, 80 Plus supplies may still be less than 80% efficient at lower loads. For instance, an 80 Plus, 520 watt supply could still be 70% or less efficient at 60 watts (a typical idle power for a desktop computer). Thus it is still important to select a supply with capacity appropriate to the device being powered."

Platinum > Gold > Silver > Bronze

For a low power rig like yours, you don't need to get anything better than Bronze. I'd only say Gold is a must have if you're running a rig which needs a 750W - 850W or higher power supply.

So 80+ bronze doesn't have that problem?

It just means less energy wasted, and better components in the PSU.

So above mediocre?

But not bad. If the budget does not allow for better, it would be an okay choice.

I tend to invest more in psu because they are the only component that can have a direct affect on all other components.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.
