Another bottleneck question

What is the best gaming cpu that can be used with a core2quad Q8300 (stock speed) with no bottlenecking.

 

I have been using a gtx460 so far, but its slowly dying (has been reflowed once already)

I'd say a R9 270 or 750Ti.

I'd highly recommend building a new PC rather than upgrading a dead end PC.

I doubt it, even my A8 (Still not a great CPU but still better then a Core 2 Quad, bottlenecks my 760 quite badly.)

I'd get a 750ti. they're cheap and more than enough for. most games at 1080p.

That would be the very max I would get just saying you can always go lower with one step.

ive been pc gaming since the very first 286 cpu came out many many years ago and ive noticed something about pc gaming over them years.

 

PC gaming is about 2 things. Money and upgrading. lol.

 

Ive lost count on how much money ive spent over the years and how many times ive upgraded my parts. Ive lost count lol

As long as someone isn't getting sucked into marketing hype and upgrading when they don't need to, the costs are usually worth it.

OP, save your money and wait just a bit longer, otherwise a 265/270x is the best bet for the short term.

Since you need a new GPU now I'd get a somewhere between 260x-270/750/ti. Whatever is cheapest and gives the best performance.

Sorry to revive this, but I was wondering, what if I were to Overclock my Q8300 (say to 3.0ghz or whichever wouldn't ruin its lifespan), which best GPU could I get for it then?
