this is an OOOLD problem I've had since day one, and never found a solution.. i never sort out my own rigs lol just everyone else's. And even though I'm upgrading soon i kind of want an answer as not to be defeated!

 

basically my pc runs sweet as a nut when everything is default. that means ram running in non XMP at 1333mhz and the "Normal" profile in the bios for the cpu.

 

As soon as i turn on XMP and or click the performance tab, my pc will run just as well when it boot.. key point here being WHEN it boot. With those settings tuned on if i power on the machine it will turn on, and then reboot after 5 second, a hard reboot where everything dies, theres a pause for 1 or 2 seconds and then it will do it again. Sometimes it only does it the once and boots perfectly afterwards, but other times is will do it 2 or 3 times before booting...

 

theres no post beebs as its pre post so no errors can be reported.
