so i was told not to get the 780 and stick with a 970 so i got that and also got the same monitor size so will this rig be quiet and run both monitors? also i was told to run 1 monitor from gpu and one from mobo becuase then it can dedicate all the gpu power to the better monitor is that true too? then will all the components work together in that build will i run into no issues if everything comes working and no damage? also i am very ocd as you can tell by the build so yeah

the h220 is probably a waste if you are not going to expand it anyways.

i agree, get the xeon instead, you wont be using the onboard gpu anyways.

btw: there is no difference between plugging into the motherboard or the gpu, the bios will just redirect the video signal, it still uses the dedicated gpu.

i suggest you get a wd green or blue.

500 watts would be fine for this build, if you want 750watts get the 750 g2 from evga.

I've made some mods to it. Should be better now. Btw, green CPU cooler. You'll love it.

Also, plug all monitors into the GPU.

@ChrisTheShark

Get Xeon E3-1231V3 instead

My question is why does he need a Xeon? Using consumer grade for this build is plenty, and actually slightly more powerful.

The projects never end in my line of work.

Wrong choice on the GPU. Needs to be blower cooler, due to it being a tight build. Also, I THINK it doesn't fit, but don't count me on that.

My opinion is just that, an opinion.

I would switch it to a 4790K, and go with the Asus Strix 970 personally.

Also @ChrisTheShark, it will only run onboard GPU if you switch to the MOBO video output, otherwise it will be using the 970.

It might be wise to get an EVGA or PNY card instead, for the sole fact that we are talking about a mini-itx build, and those brands have blower style coolers (cheaper than the Strix).

Just some food for thought.
