Gsync monitors support freesync?

Hello!

I have a simple question, with current high end monitors like the rog swift supporting gsync, will they support freesync in the future? I mean they have all the scales and dp 1.2a and stuff.

So specifically referring to the rog swift, will it work with freesync?

Thanks!

Btw if you think why I'm buying such a non cost effective monitor is cause I love asus. And don't want a NVIDIA card to use it's vrr on it.

I don't think so considering the fact that NVIDIA would hate it.

Also not to mention Freesync monitors will be MUCH cheaper then G-Sync and G-Sync gets quite expensive.

Asus might be making Rog Swifts just for Free-Sync just maybe...

Wait until both are available and find out that way.

 

I doubt it will though. It has GSync, why would they adopt the competitors offering as well? It'd just translate into a potential lost sale.
