I want to eventually get: Asus PB278Q 27.0" as my main display. Thought occurred of a secondary display to replace (or supplement?) this Acer X223W (22" with VGA/DVI).

  • 5 MS response time or less
  • HDMI/DVI/DisplayPort (if possible)
  • Widescreen
  • 22-25 inches or so
  • Less than $300 (if not $250)
  • I would like 1080p

At some point I may want to (or need to) connect some of my consoles to a monitor, I'd like to the option to and to compare displayed images . . .

Relevant rig specs:
CPU:  Intel Core i7-3770K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor  ($270.61 @ Microcenter)
Motherboard:  Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD5H-WB ATX  LGA1155 Motherboard
Video Card:  PowerColor Radeon HD 7970 3GB Video Card  ($379.99 @ Newegg)

I have an Asus VS247H-P 23.6" Monitor it is simply fantastic for 1080p gaming, and has an audio out built into the monitor, so say  plug a console into it through hdmi, i could just use an auxiliary jack to plug it from the monitor into speakers.

  • 2ms response time
  • can be oced to 80 hz at max
  • 24 inch
  • less than 200
  • is 1080p

Price:157.73 USD

So basically it meets all your requirements, now would you like 3D also? i have a monitor for that also. P.S this monitor s the number on sold on amazon with over 444 sales and 621 on newegg.
