Hey everybody; I'm kind of on a tight budget looking to build a gaming PC to last a couple years. I'm looking for a mini-itx form factor because I frequently attend LAN parties and would like easy portability. Thanks for your input

You can decrease cost by changing to H81 board. Case to Bitfenix Prodigy and also helps with moving to Lan cause of it's handles. Cheapest Ram set, it makes no difference between any other type of Ram.

I7 4790K • Corsair H110 • MSI Z97 SLI Krait Edition • Kingston Fury Hyper X (White)(16GB)(1866Mhz) • Crucial MX 100 512 GB • Seagate Barracuda 1TB • Phantek Enthoo Pro • EVGA G2 750 Watt

Asus DRW Optical Drive • TP Link Wifi Adapter • Asus MX279H • CM Devastator Bundle (Blue) • Bitfenix Spectre Pro (White) • Windows 8.1

Case recommendations for portable, Corsair 380T, Bitfenix Prodigy or C70 for ATX portable.

It isn't really since it'd bottle neck it, but it's better than the 285. and if anything he can change the cpu to I3/I5 if he's willing to go up. I just simply decreased his cost is all.

Edit: If he plans on spending 650 like his original post. Than he can easily switch out to an I5 4440.

I am slightly worried about the performance of the G3258; in some games it holds itself fairly well with the top dogs while in other games it's blown out of the water. Like I said I'd like this PC to last at least 2 years so perhaps an i5 is worth it?
