I think this would be the way to go. Thanks for the input.

My Father and step-mom are artists. and a program that my step-mo uses to design jewelry is "Rhinoceros" And I just know that her slightly older laptop fails at running it.

And being that I am the only one who has experience building computers in this century I was asked to help.

But I have no clue what parts would be best for it.

Like is it more cores the better? or what.

Any help would be nice thanks.

Rhino isn't that tough to run...

My buddy uses Rhino to design for his laser cutter.

A quadcore i7, decent mobo, 32GB of ram, and perhaps a low end quadro would be more than enough for just Rhino.

Is there more that they run?

The projects never end in my line of work.

Something like this would work pretty well for the needs.

I like headroom on my builds for expansion... it is CAD but not the most difficult of CADs to run either.

So would they benifite from a Xeon? Or what. I have no clue what works best for the program. But they don't play games at all.

I kinda second this it's also possible to change other parts and go a bit cheaper but so far so good the brands that's slapped on those at least to my experience is pretty good (except mushkins I don't have any experience with mushkins)

Live your life like a dream.

This model Xenon is essentially an i7 without the integrated graphics. It offers the advantage of hyperthreading which improves performance in most design, modeling, and content creation software.
