Sometime pixels anomalies appear and disappear over time... check with your monitor brand's pixel policies - 1)They may have different pixel policies for different models 2) some don't consider dark pixel anomalies as a display defect (some only consider bright pixels) or unless it exceeds a particular amount.

If the monitor is brand new, just return it at the store without mentioning the dead pixel, and order a new one.

If the monitor is passed the return window period, than it can be stuck on black, and might fix itself, but usually a dead pixel is dead.

ASUS dead pixel policy for it's PA and PQ series is: 5 dead pixels or more. No zones of distance policy. You count 5 or more, you are eligible for an RMA.
