Weird Temps...

I'm posting this here (did previously post in troubleshooting) to see if anyone has any clever views about this.

 

My specs:

 

i5-4690

Asus H87I-Plus

Palit GTX 770 o/c

8GB

 

Cooler - CoolerMaster Seidon 120M

 

 

 

Why am I getting these weird temps reported? I have googled and I can't really find anyone else with a similar problem.  No matter what monitoring software I get, they all report the cores are normal, but that 'CPU Package' is 80 degrees plus even at idle.

Make sure pump is running (listen) and try re-setting cooler w/new thermal paste.  Stock thermal paste on cooler could have been poorly applied at factory

Have you checked if there is any dust blocking air flow? 

 

Or maybe it is time to replace the thermal paste.

But why would the cores all be running at normal temps, but the integrated gpu be running at 80+?  I can't understand it, particularly when I have a discrete gpu anyway?
