Adobe After effects Ram preview?

Hi!

 

 

In order to show my video in real time and not in slow motion AE always prerenders the whole video for me. However, This is not good for me since I may have 1-2+ hour videos which I need to collect different clips from, And it it prerenders in slow motion I have to wait I REALLY long time to see it in realtime. This not good for me.

 

How Can I get AE to do like Sony vegas does, I can immediately see my videos in real time with sony vegas? How can I fix this with AE too?

After Effects isn't what you should be using for video... you want Premiere.

 

After effects is just that... for effects. They have to be rendered. Hitting 0 (zero) on your number pad will render some of it out. Let me know how that works if you need to use AE

It is similar to Vegas, but Premiere is much more "Adobe" in how it feels. Different workflow, but I find it easier and quicker :)

Having used both, I say Adobe. But there are those who would disagree with me as well.
