Looking to get a mechanical keyboard

Shikarikato

I've actually never owned a mechanical keyboard but have tried out various mechanical keyboards and I have a strong interest in Cherry MX Blue keyboards. Are there any mechanical keyboards that are suggested?

What is your budget? For budget keyboards, The Quickfire Rapid is a good choice but it doesn't have the num pad. If you want the num pad, you can go with the QuickFire TK also by Coolermaster which has a numpad which includes your arrow keys and your delete buttons on the same num pad and you can change between them. If you have no budget, I would recommend you get the Ducky Shine 2, It is a very good quality keyboard. :)

ducky or filco, if you're more about typing.

if you're more gaming, probably something like a coolermaster quickfire.

If you don't need fancy macro keys, and look for a solid keyboard, go for Filcos and Duckys. Duckys happen to have back-lighting as well. And it all really depends on your budget,

I actually got my CM Storm QuickFire Rapid yesterday. Cherry MX blues as well. It was on sale for $54 on Amazon a couple days ago, and my first impressions are that I love it. It doesn't have a ten-key (which I would never use anyway), but it's got a great typing feel, good design and I think it's a fantastic keyboard.

Gone up in price quite a bit since I got it, http://www.amazon.com/Storm-QuickFire-Rapid-Mechanical-SGK-4000-GKCL1-US/dp/B0068INSUM, but it looks like it goes on sale often on Amazon & Newegg, and probably some local retailers as well.

Where do you obtain a ducky keyboard?

Hey,

I currently own a Ducky Shine 2 (Cherry MX Blue). Keyboard is great but it is quite pricey with shipping and taxes.

I bought mine from tigerimports.net and I shipped my keyboard to Canada.

If you have or willing to spend about $200 dollars just on a brand and quality then go for it. Shipping was about $30 dollars for international and then there was taxes upon arrival.

If you live in the states, then shipping would be much cheaper and there probably won't be any taxes
