Hello folks, i've been having this problem for quite a while and i'm not really sure how to fix it or if there's actually a way to fix it...

When i first built my computer i have installed only one ssd because i was planning to get an hard drive next month, for the first month it ran perfect 10 sec or less boot times and awesome speeds.

The problem is after i've installed the Hard Drive i still get great write and read speeds, no problem with that, but the boot got fucked up, and i really don't know why.

Basically when i had only the ssd installed it showed me the motherboard screen for a second and then boot directly into windows after the ''beep'' coming from the internal speaker.

After i have installed the hard drive (500 gb 7200 rpm western digital caviar) the bios screen appears at the beginning for 30 to 40 seconds (but i can't interact with it, if i press delete it won't log into the bios) then a black screen with writing on top left corner appears for a couple second (I'll post a picture) and then finally i hear the ''beep'' from the internal speakers, see the bios screen for a second (i can interact with this one) and get the same 10 seconds or less to boot in windows.

I really don't know what the issue is since i've tried to format and plug off the hard drive and none of this worked, even with the system running and the drive plugged off i still get the same thing.

I tried to coexist with it since now because it was only a boot problem, but i'm kinda tired of it now and i want it to go away, any help please? I would love to hear anything from you.

If you can't read well the text in the image it says:

Ok so could be a number of things

I cant say exactly, but maybe due to installing with multiple HDDs connected to the mobo at once, always install with 1 drive on unless going for RAID.

Bootloader files etc can go on other drives so hence the 1 drive install

Check the boot settings within the BIOS maybe an issue there, couldnt say that it was but its worth checking

is ur SSD running in AHCI mode?

Try flashing a new BIOS update they normally resolve a lot of issues :)

there just some ideas i come up with on the fly :)
