High Cpu usage + Static audio

Go to solution Solved by sof006,

Does anyone have a solution?

Get a sound card, my PC does this also and the sound chip is significantly better than yours. The only way to avoid such interference is to get a sound card. I bought a cheap one that has extraordinarily good sound for £20, put it in my machine. No funny sounds anymore. Just make sure its compatible with your PCI slots.

Hi

My computer's cpu spikes when I play full screen games, or watch full screen twitch. It also happens when I browsing the steam store.

Whenever my cpu spikes, sound distorts (i.e. music, etc) producing a static like noise from the speakers. It also causes massive fps drops.

All my essential drivers are up to date.

I have tried re installing windows, but it doesn't fix the problem.

Here are my PC specs

Thank you for you time!

It happens to my old laptop to when there is too many processes running. Doing less things at once should stop this problem

Steam doesn't seem very efficient on CPU usage for one. You're using integrated audio - the CPU has some part in the processing, so you may end up getting static if the CPU is stressed in any way. I remember getting static on my laptop when certain things occurred when playing any audio(integrated).

A Core 2 Quad isn't that weak either. At least not weak enough for this to happen.
