Hello! I'm new here to the forums because of only 1 thing. 1 question I can't get anybody to answer.

I do not have enough memory on my system for today's new games. I have 4gb on a 32-bit system.

I'm playing a game called planetside 2 and it is very demanding. My cpu is bad and my gpu is bad but it works for this game. Barely.

But my memory is running out constanly. So I contacted customer support of this game. After some e-mailing back and forth the eventually came down to this:

I have to open command promt in admin mode, do this command 'bcdedit /set increaseuserva 4000' and it will all be fine.

I have heard of this before, and that it can damage your system. My question is, IS THIS SAFE.

Thanks for replying already!

EDIT: SYSTEM SPECS:

cpu: intel core quad Q6600 @2.40 ghz

gpu: radeon 6670 HD

ram: 4gb 1333 mhz ddr2 ram :(

OS: windows 7 ultimate 32-bit

should be not much of an issue

but note that 32bit S only have 3.25GB of RAM usable of the 4GB you have

upgrading to 64bit might solve your issue of out of memory

if you are upgrading your PC

can i buy the CPU off from you? :)

I also running LGA775 system if you look in my profile

Budget? Uses? Currency? Location? Operating System? Peripherals? Monitor? Use PCPartPicker wherever possible.

Well, I am getting a new computer in march. Considering I am still a minor I will ask my parents.

I can tell you right now that Q6600 stock can't handle PS2 even at low settings. It just doesn't have enough power. And the RAM doesn't help either though I think CPU is more of issue. I had same CPU and lower MHz ram and game was almost unplayable. Besides that, I've heard that it isn't very well optimized for CPU.
