Sorry that I'm asking a lot of questions on this forum but I guess thats what community is about will definitely contribute but I'd like to get the best knowledge first.

May answer questions that people have.

Is 4k affordable  (how much is it for a decent 4k monitor)?

Is 1080 to 1440 a major leap?

Three monitors running at 1080 or ultrawide displays?

Best gaming monitor for under $400?

Here's a 4k monitor, about 500-700$

Is 1080 to 1440 a major leap?

Yup, you'll need more horsepower than 1080p to power your games and gaming at 1440p is awesome, according to me it is a big difference in both ways.

Three monitors running at 1080 or ultrawide displays?

It's up to you. I'd take 3 1080p monitors, but if you play racing and simulation games, these will look absolutely awesome on ultrawide.

Best gaming monitor for under $400?

I have the ASUS VS247H, which is probably not the best option under 400$ (it is 200-250$ I think), but I like it, it does the job, it is 1080p and it has a 2ms response time.

I think other people have contributed on 4k enough, but I wanted to add my 2 cents on 1440p.

I absolutely LOVE 1440P, yes it is a major jump from 1080, and yes it requires a lot more horsepower. But I think it is definitely noticeable and very much worth the while.

Personally my favorite setup for gaming, (Although this is not the best for fast response times and fast paced action) a 1440P IPS monitor for gaming, and a 1080P monitor for secondary things like watching youtube, or having a teamspeak tab or whatever else you might want to be looking at.

The first step to insanity is believing in your sanity.
