Well depending on what your price range is. If you feel like you have no budget, why not treat yourself with some extra features? But if you're like me and on a budget of around $100 dollars or less a CM Quickfire mechanical keyboard does the job, just without the extra features higher end keyboards offer.

I have a k70, the difference with the k95 is the programable switches, if you don't need them, then you could buy a k70.  also, it is my first mech keyboard and I love it !

I love them  but if you can, try them before, to meke sure you buy the right thing

The whole thing that newbs often never bother with are the switches, I suggest you check out the thread in my sig to learn about them, take the quiz in there and then report back. If you end up buying browns and you don't like them, well, that's just too bad. 

K95 has Blues/Reds/Browns I believe. Three of six likely possibilities for you. Heck, you may not like any of them.
