Specific Optical Drive?

Does anyone know a good optical drive (DVD/CD Writer) like the http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/part/asus-optical-drive-drw24b1stblkbas but that has the style of the Corsair Air 540(Mid-Tower, Black)? You know, something without that plastic'ish' look of this Asus Optical Drive? Here's what I mean...   http://i.imgur.com/omEcG5z.jpg

 

I want something that looks more like the finish/style of the Corsair Air 540... kinda more robust looking if you know what I mean?... something that makes more sense when you look at it. I want something in the 10~50$ price range.

If you can't find one, not a huge deal. You don't need an optical drive to live these days.

How am I gonna install stuff on my PC that requires one? Lol.

Get an external DVD drive. That way you don't spoil the looks of the case.

You could potentially ghost/mod the drive. Put the plate ontothe disc drive itself.

Actually he is kinda right. Any hardware that contains drivers on CD's are usually better off being downloaded from the manufacturers website. OS's are far easier to install using a USB stick (although you will need a second computer to download the ISO and make the USB drive bootable).

 

Not saying optical drives aren't handy, but you'd be surprised how far you can get without one. In your circumstance I would recommend buying any crappy optical drive but only install it in the case when you actually need it. That's the cheap and cheerful way.
