64-bit System 8Ram ( 3.96 usable ) ! HELP

Go to solution Solved by Redjo,

HI GUYS I FIXED MY PROBLEM !!!  :D

ok let me explain now what i did:

- I turn OFF and ON pc like 10-15 times. On every "Shutdown"  i tried to put my  Ram different slots one by one....

I have 4 slots on my mother board:

My ram sticks were on 1 and 3 ( 2 and 4 empty ) not working

Then i put my sticks on 2 and 4 ( 1 and 3 emtpy ) not working

Then i tried to put them single on every slot one by one ( 1,2,3,4 ) they are working single

Finally i tried to put theam on 1 and 2 ( 3 and 4 emtpy ) and WORKED !!

On my bios the slots are like:

DDR3_A1 :

DDR3_A2 :

DDR3_B1 :

DDR3_B2 :

And when u put ram stick on DDR3_A1 and the other one on DD3_B1 or ( DDR3_A2 and DDR3_B2 ) its not working, so u have to put them on A1,A2 or B1,B2 :)

On GPU-Z & BIOS it is saying single channel but i have 2x4 sticks on my motherboard.

My computer:

Motherboard: 970 pro3 r2.0

Cpu: AMD FX-6200 Six-Core 3.80Ghz

Take out your DIMMs and put the other one in and boot the PC. It may be a dead DIMM slot or dead RAM.

I have to agree with him it might not be completely dead as the computer detects 8 gb but i think one of the channels is messed up or the ram is messed up to where it can detect its there but cannot use it.

Are they running in single channel or dual channel?

It says single but they are 2x4. I checked that on CPU-Z but its probally the same on bios to :D
