Choosing the right cpu cooler

Go to solution Solved by Thorium19,

Check out the be quiet pure rock, it's an outstanding cooler for the same price as the 212 evo if you can get it. Better performing and quieter as well. Otherwise, the 212 will more than suffice for the G3258.

Overclocking the Pentium g3258 with the stock cooler is possible, but i want to keep my temps down as much as possible, so what cooler would be the best, at a reasonable price?

I have already looked at the Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo and the Arctic Freezer xtreme rev.2, but i can't make up my mind.

All suggestions are welcomed with a thank you

I think the Coolermaster Hyper 212 Evo is the right choice in this case.

Considering the cost of the CPU, it's easy to spend more on cooling it compared to having it.

The Hyper 212 gives you lots of head room and is a great bang for the buck proposition

212 evo would be the best choice, cheap and would be overkill for that chip unless yours lost in the lottery and needs a silly amount of voltage for high clocks.

Thanks! I'll check out the be quiet. Otherwise I'll just settle for the 212 evo, everybody seems to love that thing ;)

As much as I like Be Quiet, I have heard the installation can be tricky, but it is very good
