Might as well add the cooler now.

The extra 30 bucks for a 970 , meh.

They perform really , really close at stock.

Like 2 -3 frames difference in most games.

Thanks for the reply .

The cooler will be added next month .

As you can see the parts that are posted are already 30euro over my budget . And the cooler will add another 67.99euro .

What are your toughts on the motherbord/PSU/ram , is there anything i should swap out ?

If you want to save some money you could just uses a 600w PS (power supply) unless you are planning on overclocking any of your parts. You want need 750w for your build if you want to find out more just check this thread out. http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/199255-how-many-watts-do-i-need-check-here/

You could also get a cheaper Motherboard with fewer features that you will most likely never uses http://pcpartpicker.com/part/gigabyte-motherboard-gah97gaming3,

With the extra money you could get a better monitor or upgrade your cpu from 4790 to a 4790k. Great first build :)

The rest looks fine.

You can go with a cheaper cooler if you want.

Get the unlocked CPU plz.

Unless going with a cooler and a z97 mobo is useless-

Well i'm not sure yet if i should get the normal 4790 or the 4790K . But if i went and overclocked it , the 750w i picked should do the job i guess ?

Ok i will go for the K version then .

I looked up that video card you posted and it starts at 358.99euro in belgium .

Still worth swapping the 970out ? Or keep the 970 as they are same price .

Don think the downgrade on the motherbord is worth it .

Searched for some prices . The one you posted is about 113euro , the one i posted is 116euro .

Now i was also looking at this one , as it has a way nicer look and only cost 3euro more .

Look for the cheapest 290x.

If the cheapest 290x == the price of the cheapest 970 then go with the 970.

Look on alternate, Asus has a R9 290 for 269 euro ( extremely cheap btw) and the R9 290X for 379 while all the 970 ref ones start at 379 up to 400+ with aftermarket coolers. And where exactly from belgium are you ? i might hook you op with the ram and a cooler i have laying around here for cheap (8gb 1600 corsair veng and a H80I)

Edit: ordered a 290 ... 269 ... so cheap ><

Let's agree to disagree

That's very true plus I was looking at the price for New Zealand and there is a way bigger price gap for that motherboard.

@Francesco

If you are only using this pc for gaming (No video editing/Rendering etc) then go with an i5 4690K to save some money.

I would also suggest a different SSD. Kingston were sneaky with that particular model so I wouldn't trust them. I would go with the Samsung Evo or Crucial MX100.

I would look at XFX, Seasonic, Super flower, Antec and EVGA for the power supply, depending on what is available to you.

This Antec is a good unit if you want 750W

If you don't plan on adding a 2nd GTX 970 then you can go with a 500W/550W psu.

Unless you will be using programs that can actually use hyperthreading, you would be more then fine with the i5 4690k. That should get you into budget way easier as well btw. Maybe you could buy a cooler with your order instead of waiting and needing to swap out coolers.

Also, samsung EVO ssd's are really good for the price.

I usually shop at alternate.be, really happy with the service.

No, a soundcard is not really worth it most of the time. Onboard sound is really good nowadays unless you have difficult to drive headphones or really high end ones, then you might want a dac/amp combo. But this is not the case.

Another suggestion regarding the cooler: don't go for AIO cooler, but go for highend air if you can, like the NH-D15 from Noctua or Dark Rock Pro 3 from Bequiet. Much lower price and more quiet.

I myself bought an h100i and was very disappointed with the noise the thing makes compared to those air coolers, while getting the same temps. I even changed out the fans and still its louder (also because thr position is more exposed).

Also, DDR3-1600 memory is really the sweet spot and you won't really get much difference in performance, if at all from going to 1866.

That's the only remark I have on that last one, looks solid to me.

Thanks for al the input , its very appreciated .

The reason i picked the 1866 over the 1600 is the price , its only 4-5 euro more expensive .

So why not go for it .

This will be the build i'm going for , i plan on buying everything next week .
