New office chair

TheInverseKey

So my office chair exploded (the hydraulics went and I dropped a foot) therefore, I need a new chair that I can sit in for long amounts of time coding and gaming.  Something around the $250 CAD mark.

Any advice would be great.

if your looking for a chair for long hours investigate the more ergonomic lineups(not the fake marketing ones) they usually are built to last and the pneumatics last more than a couple months of course they are more expensive then your standard wall mart trash but spending 4-500$ for several years is better than 200 every 6-12 months

Before buying a chair I'd really suggest sitting in it. Anyways I have an Ikea Markus chair which has survived half a year so far and is pretty comfortable.

I cannot emphasise this enough. I bought a pretty nice looking chair off my local tech forums which had all those features like lumbar support etc etc. However it's the worst chair I've ever owned and I get frequent back pains while sitting on it.

I went to staples and sat in chairs for an hour. Selection is limited but i found one for 90 bucks that was 5x better than what I was using.
