Would cotton balls in the female ends provide sufficient coverage to prevent paint from getting inside?

I tried masking tape but really difficult getting a circle just right

Only like... 4 ends.  I daisy chained most of the male to female fittings together, so I only have to cover up 4 female ends. Putting the thread side into an old radiator

I should've been clear and said spray paint. Hope that was obvious

Good lord I feel stupid. I'll just use a stop fitting/plug if I have some laying around. You're a genius

Oh yea forgot those specific ones won't work for the enhanced multi link. but that's still a solution for my adapter fittings. I'll keep looking around
