Straight into the question-

>> Whats the lowest cas latency as of now ?

>> What are the misconceptions about RAM ?

>> Is it possible to overclock any RAM ? If motherboard supports it?

>>Is this right Explanation ?

DDR3 2000 CAS9 will take 9/2000 seconds, which is equal to 0,0045 seconds, to respond while the DDR3 1600 CAS 6 will take 6/1600, which is equal to 0,0038 seconds, to respond. Thus, the 1600 one is faster.

I'm going to make a video on it so TIA :)

Lowest cas latency in normal kits is about CAS 7 Though CL 8-11 is most common.

Misconceptions are that you need lots and lots and lots of it

It's possible to overclock any RAM module

No, that is far from the right explanation. This is a much better explanation http://puu.sh/fknpV/84572c9eb6.pngcourtesy of johan851 @ overclockers.com

You can get by with 4GB, but it's better overall to have 8GB, preferably in DualChannel mode too.

Heavy content creation work may require more, Smooth Gaming ability requires 6-8GB Minimum or you may get judders/hitching with less.

OC'ing ram is pointless, declocking RAM so you can OC your CPU higher is what most people do anyway..., Don't OC ram,..BUY a faster kit to begin with.

2x sticks = DualChannel & 8GB of 1600Mhz in Dualchannel would be MY minimum size/speed.

Preferable size & speed is 8-16GB of 1866-2400Mhz DDR3 with reputable timings (which you google and compare other sticks to find the 'usual')

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz
