Wow....MLG there almost completely the same *mind blown* 

Anantech's comparisons are great, GPU & CPU showdowns that you can choose what to compare...

 

 

they have almost the same fps or sometime one more than the other !

Gaming yes, if you were streaming your games video feed to the world, the i7 would help here as the i5 may be utlized a lot more (which may diminish gaming performance)

Encoding video I see it as..... "Are a few seconds to a minute saved worth the $100+ extra for an i7 over an i5" <-- ie: If it's not making you money, consider how important it is...or isn't.

so if u put 2 gtx 980 together it will BECOME UNSTOP ABLE right?

If you use a 400w PSU you won't be :)

But yes, any game, would be crippled (in a good way) by their immense power (Providing Nvidia give SLI profiles to their drivers in time) <-- another concern, if a game comes out, SLI may not work when enabled in the control panel...until a driver profile enables it.

Then you can grab 4x 980's and buy a 4k Projector, or 3x 4K triple screen projectors for gaming... mmmmm

keep in mind that with the latest flagship graphic cards and some newer games, the i7 will pull ahead if you go crossfire or SLI. that's where the real muscle of the i7 comes into play.

Do you have any proof to back up this claim?

Cause I've never seen a performance difference between an i5 and i7 at the same clock.

Even a locked i5 at 3.1ghz will beat an FX9590 in gaming. Plus AMD can't even run Arma 3...
