X99 Mobo :P

Go to solution Solved by Extingquish,

Yea, just looked up a picture. XPower is slightly wider being an E-ATX and MPower being an ATX board

-snip-

Yeah, pretty much as far as I can tell

So yes this is my second post today, if you did take a glance at it, my Asus Rivbe decided to die on me when I sent it in to be Rma'ed the company just gave me a full refund. Anyways in that thread it was purposed to just go X99 instead of investing more money into an already aged chipset. I thought about it and decided why not :P  I have decided on going for the i7-5820k and 8gb of ram to start, just trying to use the cash I will get with selling the X79 parts. Now for my dilemma, this time round I want to do a black and yellow theme. So I started looking at the MSI ranged. The X99S MPower and the X99S XPower. What the F*@# are the differences :P I have the money for the XPower but if it doesn't have something over the MPower that I feel is worth the extra $$$ then why spend it.

The X-power is just a more premium board as far as I can tell, with a shroud for I/O and a more spaced out PCI-e slot layout (presumably for 4-way SLI/X-fire configurations)

Also the X-power looks slightly better IMO

Specs: CPU: AMD FX 6300 Motherboard: Gigabyte 970A DS3P RAM: HyperX Fury 16GB 1866MHz GPU: MSI R9 270 OC edition Case: Sharkoon VS3-S SSD: Samsung 840 EVO 120GB HDD: 1TB Caviar Blue PSU: Corsair CX500W

*If I say something that seems offensive, please don't take it seriously, it was most likely meant as a joke/sarcastically*
