My Budget is £450 ($677)  I need a tablet/ convertable laptop

My Budget is £450 ($677)  I need a tablet/ convertable laptop 

i can only recommend the ipad air2, my first tablet and i use it 24/7 mostly for university but also at home when not at my desktop, it partially replaced it for browsing and completly for netflix/youtube.

If one does not fail at times, then one has not challenged himself.

yea i am proburly gona go for that i had a ipad mini 1 (and well lets just say it didnt like the bath water to much)

Could probably find a Surface Pro 1 or 2 for around that

There are some floating around on Amazon, but I guess they're mostly used or refurbished. 

 

The Lenovo Yoga tablet/laptops are also pretty popular, they're are a folding design.

I recommend the shield tablet. Last all day and you can use it for gaming in between classes(bring your charger for gaming). For the price of the iPad you can get a gaming tablet with LTE , controller and a nice case or Bluetooth keyboard.

The Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 is nice, if you don't mind TouchWiz.

Shield tablet would be great for media consumption. It is very powerful and has front facing speakers. It also has a 16:9 (or 16:10) aspect ratio which would be great for media consumption.
