Okay, so i'm on the look out for a new audio/mic set up an was really looking into getting the Audio Technica AUD ATHAD500X with the ad on ModMic 4.0

But my one question is since the headphones are so open will the ModMic pick up sounds from in game while I am in a Skype call. When I play games I am always in a call on Skype with some friends but I am concerned if sounds from in the game will get picked up from the mic and people in the call would hear it. Will this happen or will I be alright?

I would suggest any proper brand cardioid microphone with a good shock mount and pop filter, that should be plenty. You can do all that for about $150 if you go cheap enough. I'd recommend a mic with a dedicated interface for any such a mic.

The projects never end in my line of work.
