CPU usage doesn't go over 25%

In the last hour, my i5 650 just fucked with me and didn't go over 25% usage. Can't play ETS2. Or other games properly.

pls help

Are those single-threaded games maybe? Those games may not be able to use more than one of the i5's four cores.

I cannot be held responsible for any bad advice given.

I've no idea why the world is afraid of 3D-printed guns when clearly 3D-printed crossbows would be more practical for now.

My rig: The StealthRay. Plans for a newer, better version of its mufflers are already being made.

Apparently it's 4 threads but still dual core. Is this a mobile chip?

I've no idea why the world is afraid of 3D-printed guns when clearly 3D-printed crossbows would be more practical for now.

some hours ago, it was working fine, having fxaa enabled over msaa, 100% scaling and 1280x720 windowed, 60fps like everywhere

I did some cs go idling with 640x480 and the lowest settings in background for some time then

Sorry, my bad. I thought all desktop i5s were quad core and the hyperthreaded dualcores were i3s. Apparently that was too logical for Intel though.

 

Still, the game may only be using one thread. Can you check CPU usage on each thread individually?

Sometimes I'm too much of a noob to do somethings. Checking CPU usage per thread is one.

Just checked processes from all users. So, System Idle Process, the one that says how much usage of your processor is not used/is idle, it sayed 75%. Weird. As fuck.

looks like a single threaded game, you have 4 theads so if only 1 can be used then you will sit at %25 CPU usage. its just like the app I use at work altium.
