First things first... I don't know shit about assembling so need help!

I have been looking on some websites to buy some cards and CPUs and i have shortlisted AMD FX 8350 and a GTX 960 (suggestions?)

Now this is the first time i am building a pc so i really dot know how will the components fit in the cabinet... I have read that all components come with a size marking (ex. ATX) but i could only find the motherboard and the cabinet with those, no markings for the GFX, PSU etc. Any help?

You need to do more research. Watch youtube videos from linus, newegg, carey holzman to name a few. You gotta start somewhere when you are new. I know if it might like a very impossible task, but you need to do a lot of research.

what is the main use of the PC

budget?

location?

do you need keyboard, mouse and monitor?

Budget? Uses? Currency? Location? Operating System? Peripherals? Monitor? Use PCPartPicker wherever possible.

You need a tad bit more research but the only components that have a set size is really the motherboard which comes in four or three ? ATX ( Normal sized ) mATX ( Smaller then a ATX by a  bit ) MiniITX ( which is a really tiny board for form factor pc's )

As for assembling I would go with Austin Evans guide which is really good

as for finding websites to purchase your components, most people use PCPartPicker because its easy and sorts out all of your stuff and prices and what not.

and you should go with Intel CPU  for a gaming build as they are more powerful compared to AMD CPU's

and if you want some help for building a good build, we need your location, and your budget to start helping you out

NEVER GIVE UP. NEVER STOP LEARNING. DONT LET THE PAST HURT YOU. YOU CAN DOOOOO IT

an Fx-8350 and a 960 should be fine for that, as far as I know

in terms of motherboards, the Fx series needs the AM3+ socket.

try looking through here for ideas https://pcpartpicker.com/parts/motherboard/#sort=a8&m=7,8,18,27&s=4,22&f=2&u=1

keep in mind that the prices are american.

This ones a little under-budget, since I quickly scrapped some stuff together, but here, have a look at my recommended build.

Just use this as a guide to get similar items in your area.

hope that helped.
