Hey, I was wondering could someone please explain to me how the power supply works for the computer?

Also would I be able to run a GTX 980 or Titan black with theses specs;

I7-4790 @3.4 ghz - Themis cpu air cooler - 3 Fans

24GB Ram

128 SSD

120GB HDD

1TB HDD

Gigabyte Z97-G43 motherboard

Dvd/cd drive

At the moment I have a 850RM corsair

The GTX 980 has a max power draw of about 165W. So three of them would be just past 485W from the cards. So you have 400W to go to your CPU and other pieces of hardware! Your CPU is an 84W chip, so you still have about 290W for the rest of your hardware. That's with three cards.

you could probably run 3-4 980's with an 850w

3 not 4. Although you could only run 1 AMD card with that,.... Am I right?

No, you could run 2 290x on that
