Strange. With the original fan curve it never went over 85c (not the best ever, but definitely within spec), then I decided to make a custom curve (I don't care about noise and I use closed heaphones) and now it never goes over 70c at 70% fan speed.

That sounds about right. I'm a silence freak I guess lol

You think a 290 will allow me to get 60 fps while recording (with Dxtory) on 1080p until the 3xx series comes out? Doesn't need to be max settings, just able to run at 60+fps while I record.

The GPU has little to do with how well you can record with Dxtory, it's all about CPU.
