Hello, I'm wanting to upgrade from my 3 year old computer to the new haswell chipset. I also will want to do a custom water cooling loop. Any recommendations on radiators, pumps, tubing, coolant, waterblocks and res brands would be nice. I live in the US and would like to spend no more than $1500 on the computer parts and no more than $500 on the water cooling parts. Any help is really appreciated and I thank you all for the help in advance.

CPU: 4670k

MB: I would like it to be m-atx to keep the build as small as possible. I'd also like it to have decent on board sound. Any recommendations would be nice.

Memory: I thought Linus said one time its a good idea to get a 16 gb kit so its easier to upgrade, but anyways any recommendations on 8 gb or 16 gb kits.

SSD: recommendations, Atleast big enough to hold os, but some games would be nice

PSU: What brand do you like most/ had the best experience with

GPU: thinking gtx 770 but if I could fit a 780 in my budget that would be nice

I'v been looking to do the exact same thing but air cooled. Been looking at the Corsair 350d for the case, same processor, for the motherboard I'v been looking at the Gigabyte G.1.Sniper M5 and from the reviews it seems to be amazing. For memory, psu and ssd I just thought to stick with Corsair as all their stuff seem to be very high quality and high end.

Any other things you want to change or add, let me know.

You put an unlocked cpu for a custom cooling loop with a H87 mobo..

Custom cooling in a Fractal Design Core 1000? Not much space for a radiator unless you do some modding.

No offense, but this build is bad considering the OP's intentions.

This shouldn't have any problems for a custom cooling loop build.

If you aren't including the gpu in the loop, get this instead: http://pcpartpicker.com/part/evga-video-card-03gp42784kr

I highly recommend liquid cooling the gpu as well though. You'll see the highest gains there compared to cpu overclocking.

Duly noted. Thanks. Didn't prioritize the "custom water cooling" enough.

Changed the RAM (as I would prefer 16GB myself, but 8GB will be fine) to make budget room for the better case.

Thanks for all the help guys

There. Awesome build :).

You still have the H87 mobo in there. You can't overclock with a H87 mobo--you'll want a Z87 for that.
