Backwards Compatibility?

Go to solution Solved by Ssoele,

On the manufacturers website under "Networking Standard" it names all of the previous standards including ac. Does this mean that it supports all of them as well?

Yes

I'm no networking connoisseur and just recently decided to move to getting an ac router. Many things in the house only have 802.11g built in, so my question is whether or not they will be able to work with the new router. Does ac support the previous standards or is this a router dependent question?

It depends on the router, look in the specs, it should say so if it does.

There is no reason for manufacturers NOT to include backwards compatibility because that may result in a return of a product.
