Sorry for bad english :/

hello,

I want to upgrade my pc soon and I got 2 choices but I don't know what to do

1

get a new gpu (gtx 780) and upgrade my proccesor (fx 6100) to a fx 8350

2

get a new gpu (gtx 780), upgrade to Intel (i5 4790k) but then I need to replace my motherboard

Can someone help me what to do?

Option number 2. An FX8350 is barely an upgrade over an FX6300 (which is only a bit faster than an FX6100).

My recommendation would be to go with an R9 290 (unless the 780 is cheaper), and stick with your FX6100 until you're no longer getting the performance you want, then upgrade to an i5/i7.

GPU is far more important for gaming, in my opinion the CPU is only for running games more stable while the GPU pulls the frames.

2.  Way better option here.  The 8350 isn't that much of an upgrade.  Also I believe you meant the i5 4690k.  Am I correct?

to a degree, but faster cores will help him out way more in modern games.

Well, an FX chip will definitely hold back a high end GPU (especially in games like Arma 3).

I'm going with the GPU upgrade first. In the future I'll replace my CPU and MOBO cause I'm currently not planning on playing the modern games (maybe advanced warfare). I'm currently playing games with an radeon 6870 from Sapphire and it's not as it was back in the day so yeah. Thanks for the tips.

Again sorry if my english is bad
