BitFenix Shadow Case Front Airflow

Go to solution Solved by ForsakenLive,

It has small openings in the sides and bottom, however as you said this is a fairly restricted chassis. Enough for most systems, however someone looking for a more optimized case should pick something else.

Hello,

This case here - http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=25084- the BitFenix Shadow - has two front 120mm fan mounts, with a single 120mm fan included in the front, and also one in the rear. As it has a magnetic door closing over the fans, I'm wondering how does it get air in and out the front? If you're using the front as intake, where does it get the air from? My only idea would be through the top holes for the door, but then I don't imagine the fan pushing enough air through to really make a difference, or otherwise having to run loudly.

Does anyone know how it works?

Thanks, Hamish.

I just don't see how enough air can get through there to make the airflow worthwhile.

It's not like the system is going to overheat or anything, even a single intake and exhaust is enough for most systems, people just love going crazy and adding 8+ fans to their PCs.

In my rig I have 3 intake fans and 2+Psu in Exhaust, and thanks to that I can have all the fans running on low speeds and have a quiet, yet overclocked system. If you are looking for something similar you may consider another case.

Oh, absolutely, that's not a problem! I was just wondering why they're worth having.
