CS:GO - More players BANNED! ⁽ᶠʳᵒᵐ ᵛᵃᶫᵛᵉ ˢᵖᵒᶰˢᵒʳᵉᵈ ᵉᵛᵉᶰᵗˢ⁾

KungPaoChino

Firstly, I don't care if throwing a game is technically cheating, don't call it cheating. It isn't helpful.

Second, if you're wondering why they threw the game, they netted more than 10 grand in skins.

The consequences are that Steel and dboorn from Torqued are banned from numerous leagues, Swag, DaZeD and AZK from GX/ex-iBP are banned as well, Skadoodle and Hiko are now looking for a team (Ska is standing in for Torqued in ClutchCon along with Desi), and Team NetcodeGuides has left NetcodeGuides after only being with them for 2 weeks, and are now known as Mythic as they were before.

  • 2 weeks later...

IMHO the solution to this is to regulate or get rid of CSGL.

It's illegal anyways, they're not even a registered gambling site in Poland where they operate out of, and the online gambling age in Poland is 18.

I guarantee MANY more teams have done this, and if Valve actually found all of everyone that did this, we'd lose like half the competitive scene.  They're simply abusing a system that shouldn't even be there in the first place.

Before someone tells me it's not gambling:

Then tell people to stop getting so salty over match fixing, as long as csgo lounge is a thing and it's easy to get away with, teams will keep doing & trying to do it.

And just because you gained something out of it doesn't make it okay, you're fifteen and shouldn't be gambling either. This is the point I'm trying to make.
