It's only as quiet as the fans you install. Also, it's not magic; just because it's optimized for quiet operation doesn't mean you can load it up with fans and expect to still retain it.

I mounted my h104 on top losing 2 moduvent covers but I have my fans on custom curve. The fans provided with the case are upfront and my rear fan if an af140 white led. Those fans are connected to the fan controller which is set to the lowest setting. My rig is very quiet at idle, and under load with my speakers on at low volume I can't hear any fan noise. Also my rig sit basically right next to me.
