Creative upgrade?

So, i've got this case, 280w psu, 80 hdd and disk drive sitting here....

 

I'm wondering if i could breath some new life into it, that being said It would be used as a small file server, media center or something of the like when said and done. 

 

I'm not looking to put a lot of cash into this build, but i'd like it to be less than just throwing an a6-6400, 4gb ram and 35$ mobo at it, so second hand is where i'm looking at the moment. If you have any ideas of cheap older hardware that i can look for please make a recommendation.

 

Don't worry about an OS as I can use linux for my needs.

Athlon CPU, any old RAM and ahh a mobo that does what you want it to

this is a fun thing to do, and will definitley eat ur time looking for parts...doing this myself, but do be careful on those second hand parts and old hardware..im sure you know this already..

was looking into this, especially since i have 2gb of ddr mem already but there aren't any graphics on these chips
