What is the difference between these two?

What is the difference between the GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 980 4GB GDDR5 GV-N980G1 GAMING-4GD and GIGABYTE Geforce GTX 980 4GB GDDR5 GV-N980WF3OC-4GD? The only difference I see is a little price difference and the G1 Gaming has a higher clock speed.

Edit: Well I probably should have googled a little bit more before posting I found the differences. I would delete the post but I have no idea how so if a mod sees this you can delete this.

The G1 has a backplate and a supposedly higher binned chip that means better overclocking results.

Don't buy a gtx 980 :) it really doesn't make any sense for the price. Buy 2 R9 290s, if you live in the US you can get them for 240$ each on newegg and they'll absolutely floor any 980 for cheaper.

Don't ask to ask, just ask... please 🤨

I personally have the G1 variant of the GTX 970, it's a great card, but if you want to save some money, the regular version will fare well too.
