Hi everyone.

I've ran into a bit of a problem with the GeForce exp' application and all of the related software that comes with it, I.e shadow play, Sheild drivers, control panel 3d vision etc etc.

Anyway all of the files were for some reason split across my boot ssd and my hdd. I wanted all of it on my hdd so I made a folder and tried to move them all across.. This didn't work lots of the files wouldn't move as they were "in use" so I cancled but now some files seem to be missing and I cannot uninstall from control panel??? Should I just re download the files from nvidea?

Any help here would be massively appreciated as I'm totally lost and clearly completely out of my depth.

Thanks for reading.

for the future don't move software like that. Use CCleaner and see if that can uninstall, then clean. There also might be some leftover registry stuff.

Okay so at the moment the GeForce experience app is working having re downloaded it and the gpu is working.. (It runs civ at least)

But I think I've made a total mess of things as there seems to be multiple nvidea files across my ssd and hdd and the nvidea control panel will not open.

Can some one please advise me as to how to get back to the original/working setup. Am I right in thinking that I need a program to uninstall all of the nvidea files and then re-download them?

How will this work for the nvidea control panel? Can it be re-downloaded?

Again any help here will be hugely appreciated as I've made a total mess of things and I'm totally lost at this point. Lesson learned.

You don't need any special program.

Assuming you have Windows 8.1

Just right click the bottom-left > Programs and Features > navigate to every single Nvidia device you can see, and uninstall them all. Even the Video Card driver.

Navigate your folders on all your drives and delete any remaining geforce, nvidia, etc. file you can find.

Simply re-download geforce experience, and make certain it gets installed on a single drive.

Thank you for the advice. A couple of questions if that's okay, if I just select files and delete them will they be properly uninstalled? Or will they still show up within uninstall/change in control panel?

Also how do I get the nvidea control panel back in my control panel is it downloadable?

Thank you for your help.

Sure thing. Uninstall all the Nvidia drivers and programs in the "Prgrams and Features" first. Then look around for any remaining files, you might not have to, but just in case, double check both drives. Somewhere in C://Program Files(x86)/Nvidia.... etc. Anywhere you think they might be. Then after that, yes you can just download Geforce experience from the Nvidia.com website, and it should handle everything.

Once you start the installation, make sure you select clean installation, that should make sure everything reset, and in proper order.

Okay then It hink i will try this, also when looking through the drives I'm not sure if a couple of the folders will belong to nvidea or not.. I don't want to remove something else that is important and cause more damage.. I think I will upload a picture shortly showing the folders in question.

And will downloading the GeForce experience also download the nvidea control panel that will show in control panel? Sorry for the repetitiveness it's just having looked around on Google this all seems very complicated.

Thanks again

These are the folders I'm referring to.. Some of them have what appear to be nvidea files in them and some do not appear to be nvidea but still are display related?

should I just delete the ones containing nvidea?

Edit- picture was to large and will not show.
