are you using the stock cooler ? make sure it clicked all the way on the mobo, otherwise reapply the CPU but use new thermal paste aswell

What cooler are you using? If you're using stock cooler, remount the cooler but with more pressure so it makes good contact with the CPU. Also make sure "Thermal Monitor" is on in the BIOS so when it overheats, the CPU will make its clock lower to prevent worse condition.

please tell me you are using a cooler if so what one?

Have you replaced the thermal compound before remounting? Oh and please tell us what CPU cooler you have.
