Yes it is perfectly fine for 1080p, 1440p, and even 4k.

If you're only using it for 1080 and not using G-Sync, DSR or something else like that when you won';t notice it at all.

If you go past 3.5GB of VRAM usage then you will get performance degredation, though you can just reduce some settings to stay below it.

This issue will only effect certain games. Battlefield 4 @ 4K is not one of them
