Screen is replaceable if you're up for that.

I cant see it .

Does it affect your experience with the calculator? Mine has a huge blackspot on the display and i still use it no problem.

Not sure if its worth it to return because of one dead pixel.

Uhm... No? Lol...

Doubtful, it's not really like a computer, you can't just take it apart and replace it. Was the thing completely dried out? Did you put it in rice in a bag for a while to dry it out? If not there could still be water inside of it causing an issue with some of the parts.

Try putting some rice in a ziploc bag, and then putting the calculator in it, leave it for a few days and see if it fixes it. If not, then I'd say it's messed for life. But if there is no warranty left on it you could try opening it up and seeing if water still exists in it. You could try taking it back and getting it replaced under some form of warranty?

Downloading programs from CNet is not a good idea, as they will commonly include unwanted, and sometimes dangerous bloatware... The more you know.

It's one whole row of pixel, look at all the arrows of the right side of the screen, go up to the top one and closely examine the line. It might take a bit of looking but it's quite clearly there.

The 8's look like 0's in one row. It's more of an annoyance than anything. I've had it for a while now IDK about warranties lol

Ah, never knew that. I don't own one myself, I've just used them a lot.

Get a TI Nspire CX (CAS), it is a great upgrade.

Upgrading just because of the slightest of issues is not what he's going for, I'm pretty sure. Spending that much money when all he may need to do is clean a contact or replace a screen just does not justify upgrading.
