Someone please help me, I just built my custom PC
Specs:
Processor: X4 860k
MOBO: A78m-E35
Ram: 8GB Crucial Ballistix Sport RAM
HDD: Western Digital 1TB
GPU: GeForce GTX 750ti FTW
PSU: 430W Corsair CX430
Case: Rosewill Line-M Case

My computer wont turn on!!!!! My psu 24 pin connector sits about 1mm above the motherboard socket. Is that it? Is there a store i could go to to fix this or have them look at my computer? Thanks

Just make sure that the front panel connectors are connected properly.  That would be a good first step.

In regards to the psu can you try it in another pc to see if it works?  If not you can do the paper clip trick or use a multimeter to check it.

Also you asking for someone to suddenly recommend a place for you to go and get this resolved means you are in a panic.  Calm down and then go back and look at what you did.  Seriously do you really want to spend a ridiculous amount of money to have someone get this running when you have not done all the troubleshooting yet?

Too many ****ing games!  Back log 4 life! :S

Your right, by the front panel connectors you mean the USB 3.0 and the power switch, right?

Check those little power pin from the case, they have to be connected to the board with the positive and negative pin correctly set

Check the mobo guidebook if you don't know the order

Might sound stupid, but press the reset button. You might plugged them opposite (power/reset).
Next, make sure you plugged the front panel switches correctly. Open the mobo manual and take a moment to see carefully the cable of the case.

If none of these work, take a screwdriver and touch the (2) power pins.

Did it require standoffs that you didnt install? If so you might've shorted out your board.

Dude... You have the power switch the opposite way. You need to plug it just as you did with the power LED. (letters facing up)

Then if it still doens't open, clear the Cmos and i think you'll fix your problem :)

( i checked your mobo's manual the power LED is correct, but the power switch is not)

i afraid it not the power supply issue or the pinouts

X4 860k is a brand new CPU kinda like the Pentium for the Intel side

your mobo may need a BIOS update before hand to get the mobo to accept the 860K
