I'm looking to build a PC for my dad that's around the $300 budget. He will use it mainly for browsing and designing web pages.

I already have a mid tower case, keyboard, mouse and speakers.

Something like this?

Looks good - but that PSU's far overkill. But then that's ridiculously cheap.

@DeadZed Do you need a screen too?

Sig under construction.

No amd cpus?

For only gaming or only browsing + designing web pages he won't benefit much from amd but idk.

It seems like amd is slowly but surely dying out.

They need to release new (fx) processors instead of a bunch of apu's but since they are more focused on the apu's that won't happen.

Also to get the most out of amd cpu's you should overclock them but parents usually don't know how do that or want to do it.

So a locked intel processor will fit pretty good with that.

Yes, forgot to mention it. A 19" monitor would be great.

Also, I'm not interested in an SSD for this particular build. A good 500GB hard drive would suffice.

jayz two cents has sadly told as that someone from inside and told him that there will be no more fx processors also more cores are good for multitasking and I'm guessing for web design

Thats that. If you need to get in touch chances are you can find someone that knows me that can get in touch.
