Hard Disk Contacts need cleaning

isopropyl alcohol but that might need more than just cleaning.

but that thing looks corroded as fuk... what did you do?

 

It's a 25 year old hard disk... so yeah.. time did that :P

Best way is to put some soldering flux (non acid) and run a soldering iron over them. The heated flux should clean the corrosion. After that, clean it with isoproyl alcohol

Best to use a fine tipped iron to avoid solder bridges. Dont stay too long or you might melt the plastic
