Hello,

I usually don't have a lot of extra money so when i saw my local electronics retailer had a sale on the Intel Pentium G3258 and MSI z97 PC Mate i started looking in to the gear.  everything i read about the parts i thought it would get me started with a ok every day system.  i committed to go forward with the build.  i had an old Alienware tower with a reasonable power supply. i found a reasonable deal on memory and my base system was set.  later down the road i added the cpu cooler, Hard drive, ssd Drive, and video card (over 4 months).  now i am looking to update my CPU i am just having an issue deciding on which cpu i want to buy.  i am obviously locked in to the 1150 socket set.  i really am considering a i7-4790k at about $330 it will cost more than half of what i spent on my system.  is it worth it.  should i just start building another rig. let me know what you think.

Something like a 4670(k) or 4570 or 4430 will be more than enough.

What's wrong with the g3258?

either upgrade the GPU&CPU at the same time(since the Pentium is enough for this system) or wait a little bit for broadwell and start building a new rig (sell the old for more money without the SSD)

no, I think that the pentium goes well with it, for the 270 it is enough no need to get a better cpu atm
