gtx 970 4k?

So I am planning on building my first gaming rig, it has a fatal1ty z87 killer, i5-4690, 2*4gb cl9 ram, a sharkoon t9 value case, a 250gb ssd, 1tb hard drive, and a scythe mugen 4 CPU cooler. Lastly a 970 strix. I plan to play RTS games (demanding ones) and rpgs. As well as a fps every now and then. Will it be able to do it on a g-sync 4k monitor?

Don't forget that older games UI will be very, very tiny if you run them at 4k

You will be able to do it on a g-sync monitor but your experience in fps games may not be super great. RTS and RPG games should be pretty reasonable though.

Should be...ok. You can always turn down the settings if you need to, and of course you don't need AA at all. So you should be able to get a decent framerate, if not at max settings in all games.

Im pretty sure the 970 can handle 4k, don't know about the settings though, it would depend on the game
